Is this official Facepunch Rust?
No. Official Legacy left Steam in December 2016. This site is an unofficial fan project. Facepunch did not approve or host it.
Can I download the game here?
Not yet. The client is ~1 GB and is not on this host. A launcher page comes later. Don’t confuse us with rustlegacy.eu — that’s a separate archive.
How is Legacy different from Rust on Steam now?
It is a 2015 client: old island, linear crafting, no cupboard/electricity/Teams. Current Rust is Experimental, patched since 2015.
2013 or 2015?
We target v1069 (2015). The 2013 zombie build is a different game; we don’t merge them into one exe.
When is wipe, and what’s the pop?
There is no server yet. Plan: 14-day map, Friday 18:00 MSK, x1. Pop numbers after the first public wipe, not before.
Do I need Steam?
There is no official Steam branch. Fan clients launch outside it. We’ll document that when the anti-cheat path exists, not earlier.
